Coming from a hard working rural upstate New York family, I’ve grown up with a strong work ethic and fervent family values. Going that extra mile is second nature to me. Being a good listener is important so I can focus on what my clients needs are. I’ve been told I’m easy-going, not pushy; yet passionate about providing service beyond expectation. I’m proud of that evaluation. Relocating can be a stressful time and I want that transition to be smooth and FUN!! I am committed to clear communication and education of the real estate process and honored by the clients who come back and refer their friends and family to me. That tells me I have done my job and earned their trust!

My family is at the heart of what I do and who I am. My husband and I have raised 3 wonderful children, 4 dogs, 2 bunnies, several cats, and countless fish over 28 years. Living in Colorado Springs for the last 19 years, I have been an active member of the community. I served on the Colorado Springs District 11 Board of Education (2 years as president), various school committees, community committees, and the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. My commitment to faith, family, community, and clients clearly demonstrates: “If it’s important to you, it matters to me!”

Gay was raised in Louisiana, by parents that valued the importance of humor, courtesy, and a belief that you should “walk a mile in the other person’s shoes” before you can understand where they are in their lives.  

She began her career as a commercial artist working for a printing company in Dallas, Texas. She met and married her husband, in 1976. The two of them moved to Colorado Springs in 1978 and began to build a successful commercial photography studio. Commercial art, office management, & photo styling, were a few of Gay’s responsibilities at the studio. Her styling experience has transitioned easily into the ability to stage a home for sale. 

She and her husband have raised two grown children, each one with a wonderful sense of humor. They have also welcomed a son-in-law and their first grandchild into the family.

Gay spent 10 years volunteering part time in District 11, working with teachers, students, and staff. She gained a great deal of respect for the jobs that our teachers do, as well as the impressions they make upon our children.

Growing up in a family of 11 in northeastern Ohio, we were taught to always do an honest days work for an honest days pay. My mother was a mechanical engineer but her practice field was our household. Everything depended on teamwork. Whether we were delivering newspapers or selling raspberries and Scotch pine trees we grew on our property, it was a group effort! My father owned an independent insurance agency and working for him after college taught me the value of good service. That is what people want and deserve and it was a good feeling to provide it for them. To hear your customer’s needs and wants is one thing; but listening to them enables me to put myself in their position making it a pleasure to assist them.  

After traveling around the world for 25 years with my Navy husband, we arrived in Colorado Springs in 1997 and he retired in 2000. I am a people person at heart and my journey with Barbara to learn the real estate business and get to know all the wonderful people she has worked with during her career has been very rewarding. My goal each day is to serve our clients to the best of my ability with the spirit and energy it takes to make them feel they are the most important client we have. After all, they are! I look forward to treating you to that service.
